Open auditions to find young performers for Peter Pan this festive season will be held on Sunday 22 September 2024 at the Victoria Theatre Halifax.
The Victoria Theatre will be holding open auditions for the parts of John and Michael and to find young dancers to form the Junior Ensemble for this year’s spectacular family pantomime Peter Pan on Sunday 22 September 2024.
The auditions are open to all children aged between 9-16 and in school years 4-11 during the production this Christmas season.
Junior Ensemble Auditions
Please note the Junior Ensemble auditions are for dance and performance only. The children will not be asked to sing.
Registration will take place from 9.30am – 10am in The Victoria Theatre foyer.

For a copy of the Junior Ensemble application form please click here. Application forms for the Junior Ensemble do not need to be submitted in advance although where possible please complete them beforehand and bring with you to save time on audition day.
John and Michael Auditions
Please note, these auditions will focus on singing, dancing, and acting. The registration form for these roles must be emailed to imagine prior to the auditions.
Registration will take place from 9.30am – 10am in The Victoria Theatre foyer.
We will be auditioning children to play John and Michael, which are male identifying roles. Those auditioning must register with Imagine Theatres in advance. Please download and complete the John and Michael Audition form and send it to Imagine Theatres (details of how to do this are on the Audition Form) to register. Two weeks before the audition Imagine Theatres will forward all the auditionees an excerpt of the script to practice before the audition.
Please be aware that any child accepted for the roles of John and Michael will be expected to ‘fly’, which involves them being moved through the air a few feet from the ground in a harness, and therefore is not suitable for any children with a fear of heights. Full training on this will be given and this type of activity carries an excellent safety record with full risk assessments and insurance in place.
