The Victoria Theatre Halifax is offering school exclusive productions of the annual pantomime Cinderella, once again in 2023, including a schools side of stage BSL signed performance.

Poor Cinderella works night and day but dreams of a very different life and with an invitation to the royal ball it looks as if her wish may be granted. Will her Wicked Stepsisters succeed in ruining Cinderella’s dreams of happiness or will her Fairy Godmother and loyal friend Buttons be able to thwart their devilish plans?
Pop on your glad-rags and join us at the ball to find out! Cinderella is the hilarious family pantomime suitable for all ages, with tons of slapstick comedy and stunning musical numbers that you are guaranteed to be singing for days afterwards. WHY BOOK A SCHOOL TRIP TO THE VICTORIA THEATRE?
We aim to give everyone a fantastic seasonal treat and make the visit as safe and stress free as possible for your school staff, pupils and parents. We will organise everything for you, from booking the tickets, arranging return coach travel to and from your school and you can even pre-order interval ice creams for your class! You can also request an Education Pack full of follow up activities that link to the National Curriculum.
£1 PER HEAD DEPOSIT
We would like to offer schools the opportunity to secure the best seats, at the performance of your choice for a deposit of just £1 per head! The full payment for your school trip booking will then be due by Friday 29 September 2023.

This year, the Victoria Theatre will once again be offering five performances of Cinderella exclusively for school groups! We would love you to bring your school to join us for this magical pantomime.
Tuesday 19 December at 10am (limited availability)
Wednesday 20 December at 10am (limited availability) & 2pm (best availability)
Thursday 21 December at 10am (limited availability) & 2pm (Schools 'Side of Stage' Signed Performance - best availability)
LET US TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING
Safety is paramount throughout your trip to the theatre. We are continuously liaising with CMBC Health & Safety officials to ensure that we are always up to date and compliant with the latest guidelines around COVID safety. Also, as part of Calderdale Council, we are able to work closely with the Highways Department to ensure local roads are closed so school groups that have booked on our coach inclusive package can park as near as possible to the theatre on Alexander Street. We will have a team of staff waiting to accompany you and your school across the road and in and out of the theatre.
SCHOOLS SIDE OF STAGE SIGNED PERFORMANCE - Thursday 21 December at 2pm
This performance aims to improve access to the pantomime for hearing impaired people who use British sign Language (BSL). The interpreter stands stage left and interprets the performance for the audience.
CAN I BOOK TICKETS WITHOUT COACH TRANSPORTATION?
The safety of children visiting the Victoria Theatre is our priority and therefore only schools who book on our coach inclusive scheme will be able to come via coach for Cinderella. If you are in walking distance of the Victoria Theatre and do not require coach transportation you can also book tickets.
WHY CAN I NOT BOOK MY OWN COACH TRANSPORTATION?
In 2022, a number of schools organised coach transportation independently and this subsequently caused issues for school parties who could not be safely escorted into the building. As a result we received complaints about those coaches parking inappropriately from the general public. The unauthorised coaches blocked bus stops and junctions and brought the traffic to a standstill around the town centre.
We want to make sure that all children are moved in and out of the theatre as safely as possible and therefore the only way to do that is to insist that coach parties use our scheme so that the parties are safely escorted to and from the theatre.
HOW DO I BOOK?
Here’s the best bit – once you have chosen your date and know approximately how many children and teachers you would like to bring, just call the Box Office on 01422 351158 and ask to speak to Nicola to make your booking. Once that's done, Lisa will sort out the transportation and logistics of the booking.
