The Victoria Theatre Halifax is delighted to announce more new additions to its upcoming program, with six new shows spanning comedy, musical theatre, and sporting history going on sale this week.<

From the dry wit of one of the UK’s favourite comedians to the high-octane energy of a classic rock musical, these latest additions further celebrate the Victoria Theatre’s 125-year history as a key destination for live performance in West Yorkshire. The six new shows joining the line-up are:

Next To Normal

Next To Normal (Tuesday 21 – Saturday 25 July 2026) - Next To Normal is a contemporary musical with an unflinching look at how one suburban household copes with crisis and the effects of mental illness. With provocative lyrics, and an electrifying score of more than 30 original songs, this unique piece shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family's world intact. This is an amateur production from HAOS Productions. This unique event takes place with the audience seated on the stage of the Victoria Theatre behind the curtain for a more intimate experience. An Evening with Manchester United Legends (Monday 5 October 2026) – An unmissable night for football fans. Join icons of the Old Trafford pitch, Ron Atkinson, Gary Pallister and Wes Brown as they share behind-the-scenes stories, career highlights, and locker-room secrets from one of the world’s greatest sporting institutions. General sale 10am Friday 27 March.

What The World Needs Now: The Burt Bacharach Songbook

What The World Needs Now: The Burt Bacharach Songbook (Sunday 11 October 2026) – An evening honouring one of the most influential songwriters of the past century and featuring performances by beloved UK artist Rumer and the Mercury nominated singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt both of whom worked directly with Burt Bacharach. Plus additional guests to be announced.   The show will be brought to life with the WTWNN Band accompanied by The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under the musical direction of Rob Shirakbari - Bacharach’s long-time arranger and music director. This show celebrates the timeless melodies and incredible arrangements of Bacharach’s vast catalogue, from Walk on By to Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head and Anyone Who Had A Heart. Ed Gamble: Fresh Hell (Thursday 10 June 2027) – Following a massive sell-out tour, the co-host of the Off Menu podcast and Taskmaster champion returns to Halifax with his brand-new stand-up show. Expect Gamble’s signature rants and observational brilliance.  General sale 10am Friday 27 March.

A Country Night in Nashville (Saturday 2 October 2027) – A huge celebration of country music, taking the audience on a journey through the history of the genre. Featuring hits from legends like Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Garth Brooks, it’s a night of pure "Music City" energy. General sale 10am Friday 27 March.

Bat

Steve Steinman’s Bat! Bat Out of Hell 50th Anniversary (Saturday 6 November 2027) – Bringing the legendary anthems of Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf to the stage, this spectacular live show features the full Bat Out Of Hell album performed in its entirety - an unforgettable night of legendary rock music. General sale 10am Friday 27 March.
