Cinderella is presented once again by our pantomime production company Imagine Theatres who have been producing Halifax's Christmas pantomimes at the Victoria Theatre for over a decade. Previous panto productions presented at the Victoria Theatre Halifax by Imagine Theatres have included Sleeping Beauty, Jack and the Beanstalk, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Aladdin. Peter Pan and Dick Whittington.
The Victoria Theatre Halifax's Christmas panto will be a magical treat for families across Calderdale and West Yorkshire.
Cast News! Halifax’s favourite Dame, Adam Stafford will return this year as Nurse Brenda Brighouse alongside the hilarious Nathan Morris as Buttons. They will be joined on stage for an extra splash of panto magic from duo Mathew Pomeroy and Natasha Lamb (aka The Conjurors) who will play Cinderella’s Fairy Godparents. With further casting to be announced they will also be joined by a local junior ensemble to bring you all the usual panto fun, frolics and slosh! Kieran Morris will return this year in the role of Prince Charming, ready to woo his Cinderella Emma Kirk, despite the meddling of her wicked stepsisters Tasha Shanade and Siobhan Diffin.
The Side of Stage Signed Performance (Thursday 21 December at 2pm) aims to improve access to the pantomime for hearing impaired people who use British Sign Language (BSL). The interpreter stands stage left and interprets the performance for the audience.
Integrated Signed Performances (Wednesday 3 January at 6:30pm & Thursday 4 January at 2pm) include two BSL interpreters who are involved in the action on stage and take part in the performances!
The Relaxed Performance (Friday 5 January at 10:30am) is designed to be welcoming to everyone and especially to adults and children who may feel unable to access theatre performances for a variety of reasons, for example, parents/carers with noisy infants, people who need or want to move around and/or vocalise during the performance, people with dementia, autism or with other complex access or inclusion needs. School Exclusive Performances (Tuesday 19 December - Thursday 21 December) - This year, we are once again offering 5 performances exclusive for school groups. We aim to give everyone a fantastic seasonal treat and make the visit as safe and stress free as possible for your school staff, pupils and parents. We will organise everything for you, from booking the pantomime tickets, arranging return coach travel to and from your school and can even pre-order interval ice creams for your class!
