In response to the Government’s statement in March 2020 advising the UK public to avoid unnecessary social contact, including by not attending theatres, Calderdale Council took the precaution of closing the Victoria Theatre. We are still waiting for further advice from Central Government about when and how we will be able to safely re-open. The team continue to work behind the scenes to make sure the theatre will reopen quickly for you once we are able to do so.
XFEST has been re-scheduled to Saturday 2 October 2021 (from Saturday 12 September 2020)
We're pleased to confirm that your existing tickets will remain valid at the rescheduled date and we hope you can join us. We also ask customers and fans to help support live music by holding onto their tickets for the rescheduled date. If you have chosen to collect your tickets from the Box Office at the time of booking, your tickets will still be available for collection up to the date of the rescheduled show.
If you are unable to attend, tickets must be returned to the Box Office by 11 September 2020 for a refund – The Theatre and Box Office are currently closed and we are doing what we can from home to keep our customers informed. Once we return to work we will administer the refunds so please bear with us in this unprecedented situation.
- If you have Victoria Theatre tickets bought from the Box Office and would like a refund - these will need to be returned to the Box Office for a refund (as this event has been postponed and to allow tickets to be resold).
- If you have Print at Home Tickets and would like a refund - Please return the original print at home email which included the link to the ticket pdf (with the subject line - Your print at home tickets are ready - PLEASE PRINT) to the Box Office at email@example.com
- If you have purchased tickets though a ticket agent (eg Ticketmaster, SEE tickets etc) or any other channel and would like a refund - you will need to contact the agent directly to discuss your booking and their terms and conditions and refund policy will apply.
PLEASE NOTE: The £1.75 Theatre Support Fee that is automatically added to all tickets is non refundable. This fee is essential to supporting the theatre operations, particularly during these difficult times and it will be used to help provide necessary equipment for the safety of our audiences once we re-open for shows.
Join us at the Victoria Theatre for X Fest featuring music from From The Jam, The Blockheads and Natural Rhythm Ska Band.
About the bands -
From The Jam
From the Jam features Bruce Foxton from the original Jam line up. He also spent 15 years playing bass with Stiff Little Fingers. Bruce is joined by Russell Hastings on lead vocal and guitar.
From The Jam have gained a reputation for the kind of incendiary ‘live’ performances that sealed the reputation of The Jam all those years ago. Audiences can expect to hear classic The Jam hits such as Down In The Tube Station At Midnight, Going Underground, Town Called Malice and The Modern World as well as some live favourites and songs from Bruce’s solo career.
Formed in 1977 to promote Ian Dury's album New Boots and Panties on the first Stiff Records tour of the UK. The Blockheads are fronted by Derek 'The Draw' Hussey, who was Ian's best friend and is now the band's vocalist and wordsmith. Chaz Jankel, Norman Watt-Roy, John Turnbull and Mick Gallagher still remain from the original band and the current line-up is augmented by John Roberts on drums and a rolling line up of saxophonists including Gilad Atzmon, Terry Edwards or Dave Lewis. These legendary Brit-Funkers will be playing all the old favourites and new material.
Natural Rhythm Ska Band
Natural Rhythm Ska band formed in Bradford in the 80s by Anthony 'Bootsy' Boyce. They were a big part of the 'second wave' ska boom!. As a band they continue to play the music, most close to their hearts - Ska Bluebeat!!!
* Ticket prices include a Theatre Support Fee when booking via our Box Office and online. No other charges are applied.
